Wil has directed hundreds of hours of television and film.  His debut feature film “Hoot” brings his Florida background and twenty years of comedy and directing to a Newbury award winning book by Carl Hiaasen.  Wil, along with producer/partner Jimmy Buffett witness Wil’s screenplay adaptation of the book debut on over 3000 screens and become a top ten box office draw it’s first two weeks of release. The film was inducted into the Museum of Moedern Art’s collection in NYC and was recently named by the Smithsonian Museum one of the top five environmental films.
